LEI: ADA Construction Specialists for Veterans

LEI is an ADA Construction Specialist and has been a qualified contractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Specialty Adapted Housing (SAH) Program since 2006. We’re proud to help Veterans transform their homes into spaces that are both accessible and truly feel like home.

Typical modifications with a VA grant may include:
roll-in showers, wider doorways and hallways, new flooring, ADA-height toilets, grab bars, roll-under sinks, accessible emergency exits, accessible full kitchen remodels, enhanced exterior accessibility, and even full room additions.

How Your VA Grant Project Works with LEI

  1. Initial Consultation:
We begin by meeting with you, the Veteran, to review the requirements from the VA Specialty Adapted Housing Agent and to understand your home goals, needs, and preferences. During this consultation, we’ll suggest solutions that meet VA requirements while keeping your home’s style and value intact. Our goal is simple: your home should feel like your home, not a facility.

  2. Plans & Estimates:
After the consultation, we create detailed drawings and an itemized estimate covering everything discussed during our visit.

  3. Design Selection & VA Approval:
You’ll work with our in-house designer to choose finishes like plumbing fixtures, tile, and layouts. Once all selections are finalized, we submit the plans for VA approval.

  4. Scheduling & Construction:
After VA approval and any necessary permits, we schedule your project. Your project manager will provide a timeline and regular updates, keeping you informed every step of the way.

  5. Compliance & Inspections:
Throughout construction, LEI ensures full compliance with both VA and city inspections, giving you peace of mind that your home meets the highest standards of accessibility and safety.
